PSAT to SAT Conversion for 1270?

Hey everyone, just got back my PSAT score and I got a 1270. Any idea how this might translate to the SAT? Like, should I expect a similar score or is there usually a big difference? Just trying to set realistic goals for my SAT prep. Thanks!

Hey there! Congrats on your PSAT score, that's a solid foundation to build on for the SAT. The good news is that PSAT scores are designed to be a predictor of how you might perform on the SAT. While it's not a 1-to-1 conversion, the scores are usually pretty close, and a 1270 on the PSAT suggests you could anticipate a slightly higher score on the actual SAT after some dedicated prep. To give a rough estimate, your PSAT score might be equivalent to around a 1360 on the SAT: https://blog.collegevine.com/psat-to-sat-score-conversion-predict-your-score

Remember that the SAT might cover slightly more challenging content, so as you prepare, focus on any areas that felt tricky on the PSAT. If you keep up your studies and practice, you're likely to see improvement. Good luck with your prep!
