Looking for colleges in the Philly area with strong engineering programs

Hey friends, I'm considering staying near home for college and I'm from Philadelphia. Engineering is my thing, so I'm looking for schools in the Philly area with really strong engineering programs. If you have any suggestions or insight into what these colleges offer, especially in terms of internships or industry connections, I'd love to hear them!

Philadelphia is a hotbed for excellent engineering programs and you are in luck to be considering schools in this area.

Let's start with the University of Pennsylvania. UPenn’s School of Engineering and Applied Science offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of engineering disciplines. The school upholds a high emphasis on innovation and entrepreneurship, which can provide a great environment for any budding engineer. Its location in Philadelphia also means proximity to numerous tech companies and engineering firms, which can open up vast opportunities for internships and networking.

Another worth considering is Drexel University. Drexel prides itself on its unique cooperative education program that integrates up to 18 months of professional work experience with classroom learning. Students in their engineering programs are exposed to hands-on experience in their industry even before they graduate.

Last but not least is Temple University's College of Engineering. Temple’s engineering program is solid and known for its dedication to hands-on, practical experience. Temple collaborates with industrial, governmental, and other academic entities to build strong career opportunities for its students.

Do take the time to visit these schools if possible or connect online, and remember to consider factors like financial aid and campus culture as well. Good luck!
