What are some available male scholarships for college applications?

Hey everyone, I'm a high school junior exploring ways to fund my college education, and I'm curious about scholarships that are specifically available for male students. Are there any particular scholarships that cater to male applicants? I know there tend to be a lot of scholarships for women in STEM and similar fields, but what about guys?

I'm interested in both merit-based and need-based options, so any advice or experiences would be really helpful. Links to resources or details about specific scholarships would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help!

Sure, while it's true scholarships specifically targeting male students aren't as common, there are still many opportunities available. Below are a couple you might consider:

1. Balanced Man Scholarship: Offered by the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity, this scholarship seeks to reward incoming college freshmen who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership skills, and a commitment to their health and well-being. While you don't have to join the fraternity to get the award, the application process often involves an interview with fraternity members.

2. Northern Star Scouting Eagle Scholarship: Northern Star Scouting recognizes youth with academic scholarships through the Eagle Scout Scholarship program. Scholarships are awarded to candidates who have demonstrated outstanding troop leadership, scholastic achievement, and strong citizenship. Each year, between 20 and 25 Eagle Scouts are selected to receive scholarships.

Just remember, many scholarships that are not gender-specific are also open to you. Make sure to also apply for those based on your academic achievements, intended major, community service, and other unique criteria or talents you have. Good Luck!
