I'm currently a junior in high school and considering applying to Georgia State University. I'm trying to get organized early, so I don't miss any important dates. Does anyone know when the application deadlines are for GSU and if they differ for early action or regular decision? Also, are there other key dates I should keep in mind, like for scholarships or housing applications?
Georgia State University operates on a rolling admissions basis, which means they accept applications year-round. But they do have priority deadlines that you'll want to pay attention to:
-Early-decision deadline for fall admission: November 15
- Regular decision deadline for fall admission: April 1st
Applying by the priority deadline improves your chances of admission, as well as accessing scholarships and housing.
Speaking of scholarships, the priority deadline for GSU's merit-based scholarships is also March 1st. After applying to Georgia State, your application will be automatically considered for these scholarships.
In terms of housing, the application opens in October for the following academic year. However, since spaces are filled on a first-come, first-serve basis, it's better to apply as early as possible. The priority deadline for Housing is May 1st.
Please bear in mind that dates can change from year to year, so you should always check the GSU website to get the most accurate information. Make sure to mark these important dates on your calendar and get started on your application materials well in advance!
