Scholarships for future IT students?

I'm currently a junior in high school with a strong interest in Information Technology. I'm looking for scholarships that could support me through college to study IT. Has anyone found scholarships for students pursuing degrees in Information Technology or Computer Science? Tips on where to apply or what organizations to check out would be super helpful!

There are numerous places where you could look for scholarships targeted towards students planning to study Information Technology or Computer Science. Here are a few notable ones:

1. The National Science Foundation's Scholarship for Service: This program provides scholarships to students studying in areas relating to cybersecurity, which definitely includes IT. However, please do note that the program requires some commitment post-graduation in government service.

2. The Future Leaders of IT Scholarship: This scholarship, sponsored by the Association for Information Systems, provides for IT students demonstrating commitment to leadership within the IT field. You can apply through the organization's site.

3. The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) scholarships: While these scholarships are geared towards women who plan to pursue a career in engineering, computing is inclusive and you could look into the scholarships they offer.

4. The Google Lime Scholarship: This scholarship is for students with disabilities who are pursuing a degree in computer science or a related field. Winners are also invited to attend the annual Google Scholars' Retreat.

5. IEEE Presidents’ Scholarship: This scholarship is provided by The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and rewards a promising student for a project in the field of computer science or electrical engineering.

In addition to the aforementioned scholarships, be sure to check with any local organizations or clubs that you're a part of, as many offer scholarships for members. Most colleges have specific scholarships for IT and CS students that you can apply for once admitted, so make sure to check out those opportunities as well!

Remember to start applying for scholarships early as some have deadlines that may be significantly before college application deadlines. And always ensure to meet all necessary eligibility requirements and submit all necessary application items before the deadline. Best of luck in your scholarship hunt!
