What is campus life like at Elon University?

I'm considering applying to Elon University and am really curious about what campus life is like there. I've read a few things online, but I always find real student experiences the most insightful.

If any current or former students could share their thoughts on the social scene, extracurriculars, and overall vibe on Elon’s campus, that would be awesome. I'm especially interested in knowing if it's easy to find a community and what activities are popular?

Elon University is renowned for its intimate, friendly, and close-knit community. Campus life is vibrant and filled with numerous opportunities to engage outside of academics. It's situated on a beautiful, well-maintained campus, which further enhances every student's experience. A distinct characteristic of Elon is its commitment to experiential learning, a philosophy that extends well into campus life.

A wide range of extracurricular activities are available and it's relatively easy to find a community at Elon. The school boasts over 250 clubs and organizations covering academic interests, athletics, cultural groups, pre-professional organizations, and more. Joining one or more of these clubs is a great way to form social connections and develop a sense of belonging.

Greek life is notably active at Elon, with around a third of the students participating in one of the several fraternities and sororities found on campus. It's an important part of the social scene for many students, though it's not essential for having a fulfilling social life. There's a lot of emphasis on community service and leadership development in this realm.

Orientation week at the beginning of the year provides excellent opportunities to get to know people and find your niche.
