How is campus life at Bentley University?

I'm considering applying to Bentley University and I'm really curious about what campus life is like there. I know it's a smaller school compared to some big state universities, but how does that affect the social scene and student activities? Are there a lot of opportunities to get involved on campus with clubs and events? Also, I've heard that it's located in a pretty suburban area, so how easy is it to get into Boston for urban experiences? Any insights from current or past students would be appreciated!

Bentley University's campus life is often described as vibrant and lively, despite it being smaller in size compared to larger public universities. One primary factor that contributes to the campus atmosphere is the numerous student organizations. Bentley has over 100 student-run organizations, offering plenty of opportunities to get involved whether your interests lie in academics, arts, culture, sports, or community service.

Norms often dictate a good balance between studies and social activities, with many students utilizing the world-class resources to focus on their coursework while also partaking in social events. The campus is known for its active social scene with events hosted by various clubs, organizations, and the university's Event Management team throughout the semester, such as the Spring Day music festival and Midnight Breakfast during finals week.

When it comes to exploring beyond the campus, getting into Boston, a major hub of culture and activities, is quite straightforward. It's roughly a 20-minute drive from Bentley's campus to the city center, and there are also public transportation links available. This proximity to Boston allows students to enjoy the best of both worlds, experiencing the quaint, peaceful atmosphere of a suburban campus and the exhilarating city life.

As with any college experience, it's important to invest time in exploring the opportunities available and finding the ones that fit your interests. This way, you can shape your own university life class by class, club by club, and experience by experience. Keep in mind, the college experience is subjective and can vary from person to person based on their interests, goals, and efforts to engage in university life.
