Understanding the McDonald's HACER National Scholarship

I’m planning to apply for scholarships to help with the cost of college, and I came across the McDonald's HACER National Scholarship. I've heard good things about it, but I want to make sure I completely understand what's needed before I start the application process. The eligibility criteria for this scholarship program include:

1. You need to be a high school senior.

2. You must be a legal U.S. resident, citizen, or DREAMER/DACA recipient.

3. At least one of your parents should be of Hispanic heritage.

4. You should be eligible to attend a two- or four-year college or university with a full-time course of study.

5. You should have a minimum GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale.

6. You should have completed an online application including an essay stating their goals.
