How can I find STEM scholarships for 2025?

I'm interested in pursuing a STEM degree in college and could use some help finding scholarships for 2025. It feels like there's a ton out there, but I'm a bit overwhelmed by where to start looking. Do you know any specific scholarships for STEM fields or resources that can help me navigate this process? I'm open to both national and local scholarships. Thanks in advance for any guidance!

I can understand why you might feel overwhelmed—there are indeed a multitude of scholarships out there. However, there are resources available to help streamline your search process.

Scholarships.com and Fastweb are often a good starting point: both allow you to set up a personal profile indicating your interests (in your case, STEM) and grade level. Based on your profile, they'll match you with relevant scholarship opportunities. Also, Appily specializes in connecting students with scholarships.

Regarding specific STEM scholarships, there are quite a few:

1. Society of Women Engineers (SWE) Scholarships: SWE grants scholarships to women pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor or graduate programs in preparation for careers in engineering, engineering technology, and computer science.

2. Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) Scholarships: This organization offers scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students in the STEM fields.

3. National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS) STEM Scholarships: NSHSS has several scholarship programs targeting high school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who demonstrate a desire to pursue a career in STEM fields.

4. American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) Scholarships: AISES provides scholarships to American Indian and Alaska Native students pursuing degrees in STEM.

In addition to these national opportunities, I highly encourage you to contact your school's guidance counselor or use online databases to find local scholarships—businesses, clubs, and foundations in your area may offer scholarships not well-publicized on national databases.

Remember that applying for scholarships is a numbers game—the more you apply for, the higher your chances of winning some funding. Best of luck with your scholarship hunt!
