Where to find reliable scholarship sites?

I'm on the hunt for scholarships to ease the upcoming college expenses, but there's so much out there it's hard to know where to start. How can I find reliable scholarship sites that provide real opportunities? I’m wary of scams and don’t want to waste time on sites that aren't legit. Can anyone recommend some tried-and-true resources or share their experiences with sites that led to actual scholarship wins? The more specific, the better, since I'd love to have a list to start checking out during the summer.

Absolutely, focusing on reputable scholarship search platforms is a smart approach. Here are a few resources that are widely used and trusted by students:

1. Fastweb: It maintains a database of over 1.5 million scholarships, making it one of the largest scholarship databases. Once you set up a profile, Fastweb will match you to scholarships that fit your need and profile.

2. Scholarship.com: This platform offers a very user-friendly interface and has a comprehensive database of scholarships. As with Fastweb, once you create a profile, it matches you to potential scholarships.

3. Chegg Scholarships: Known primarily for textbook rentals and homework help, Chegg also has a robust scholarship search platform. It offers a straightforward, easy-to-use interface and provides information about scholarships from around the web.

4. Appily: Formerly known as Cappex, this site has a massive scholarships database and also provides college reviews and admissions calculators.

5. Peterson's: Besides being a well-known test prep company, Peterson's delivers a quality scholarship search tool with the advantage of detailed descriptions about the scholarships.

6. College Board Scholarship Search: The College Board doesn't just administer SAT and AP tests. They also have a scholarship search platform that draws from many sources.

Make sure, while applying for any scholarships, to watch out for signs of scams like requiring payment or guaranteeing winnings. Remember, you should never have to pay for a scholarship application! Focus on unveiling your unique narrative and demonstrating your dedication to the scholarship providers. Best of luck to you!
