Are there scholarships without GPA requirements?

Hello! I'm a junior in high school, and while I'm working hard academically, my GPA isn't as high as I'd like it to be. I'm concerned that my GPA might limit my opportunities for scholarships. Does anyone know of scholarships that don't have strict GPA requirements? I'm motivated and involved in various activities, so I'm hoping there are some scholarships out there that value those qualities as well. Any help with leads or personal experiences would be greatly appreciated!

You're right that many scholarships do take GPA into consideration, but there are also plenty of scholarships out there that prioritize other aspects, such as involvement in extracurricular activities, leadership skills, community service, and personal essays. Here are a few examples:

1. The "No Essay" Scholarship by College Prowler offers a $2,000 scholarship each month to a random student who creates an account on their website.

2. The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards offer scholarships up to $5,000 for students who have made a difference through volunteering.

3. The Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 scholarships each year worth $20,000 to seniors who have demonstrated leadership in school and community activities.

4. Horatio Alger Scholarships range from $10,000 to $25,000, and are awarded to students who have demonstrated integrity, perseverance in overcoming adversity, and strength of character.

5. Duck Tape's Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest awards scholarships up to $10,000 for the best prom outfits made entirely out of their product.

6. AXA Achievement Scholarships provide $2,500, $10,000, or $25,000 to students who have demonstrated ambitious and self-driven behavior–strengths, achievements and goals.

Keep in mind that these are just a few examples, and there are many more scholarships out there that don't prioritize GPA. In addition, be sure to look at local scholarships—many community organizations, local businesses, and other local entities offer scholarships that are only available to students in your specific geographical area.

Lastly, remember that while GPA is one factor in determining scholarship eligibility, it's far from the only one. Many scholarship awarding bodies are more interested in getting a holistic view of applicants, so your extracurricular activities and personal experiences could also make a big difference.
