Scholarship options for aspiring entrepreneurs?

I've always been passionate about entrepreneurship and am considering majoring in business or related fields in college. I know starting your own business can be risky, so any scholarship help to get me through school would be amazing. Does anyone know of any scholarships specifically for students who are interested in entrepreneurship? Maybe ones offered by startups or business incubators?

There are indeed scholarships specifically for students interested in entrepreneurship! Here are a few:

1. The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) Young Entrepreneur Awards are open to high school seniors who own and operate their own small business. The scholarships range from $2,000 to $15,000.

2. The Grasshopper Entrepreneur Scholarship awards a $5,000 scholarship to an aspiring entrepreneur who submits the winning essay on an entrepreneurial-related topic.

3. The Entrepreneurs' Organization's Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) offers a scholarship for students who have established and are operating a business while attending college.

4. The Innovation Scholarship Essay Contest, sponsored by Lighted Garage, is open to all US high school students who plan to attend college and are willing to write a 600-word essay on a given topic related to innovation.

5. The Zeiger Firm Scholarship requires a 500-word essay answering one of the questions provided on their website related to the lessons learned from starting a business.

It may also help if you research entrepreneurship scholarships at the specific colleges you are interested in because many schools also offer scholarships for aspiring entrepreneurs. For example, the University of Michigan's Zell Entrepreneurship and Law (ZELL) program has several scholarships available.

Remember when applying for these, the key is to emphasize your passion, achievements, and goals in entrepreneurship. Discuss specific projects you've initiated, what you learned from those experiences, and how a scholarship would help further your entrepreneurial dreams. Good luck!
