Where to Find a List of Scholarships for 2024?

As a high school student preparing for college applications, I'm trying to get a head start on finding scholarships for 2024. Does anyone have recommendations on where to find reliable and comprehensive lists of available scholarships? I've heard that some sites might not be up to date, so any tips on which sites to trust would be awesome. Thanks in advance for your help!

One of the most popular resources I can recommend is the website Scholarships.com. It has a vast database of scholarships and it should have many 2024 scholarships already listed. They update their website often, meaning that their scholarship database should be current and comprehensive.

Another recommended resource is Fastweb. It matches you to scholarships based on your profile and interests and sends you notifications when new scholarships match your profile. One good thing about Fastweb is that they scrutinize scholarships before adding them to their database, so you know the opportunities listed are legit.

The U.S. Department of Labor also has a free scholarship search tool called CareerOneStop that could be useful, it contains information on more than 8,000 scholarships programs that grant at least 1.5 million awards annually.

Remember, scholarships are not just found from national websites. Be sure to leverage local resources as well. Check with your high school's college or career counseling office for listings of local scholarships.

Check in with the financial aid offices of schools you're interested in, as they frequently have information on scholarships available specifically for students at their institution.

Finally, be sure to check with any community or extracurricular organizations you're a part of, as they may also offer scholarships.

Just remember, in your search, be wary of scholarship scams. You should never have to pay to apply for a scholarship.

Best of luck!
