What are some popular business universities in Texas?

I'm interested in pursuing a business degree and Texas seems like a vibrant place to study with lots of opportunities. I’ve heard about schools like UT Austin and SMU, but I'm curious to know what other universities in Texas are well known for their business programs. Do any of them offer unique concentrations or strong internship opportunities? Also, if anyone has personal experiences with the business schools there, I'd love to hear about them. Thanks in advance for your input!

You're certainly correct that Texas is a great state for studying business! Apart from UT Austin's McCombs School of Business and Southern Methodist University's Cox School of Business, which you already mentioned, some other notable business schools in Texas come to mind:

1) Rice University's Jones Graduate School of Business: Known for its smaller, close-knit community and great faculty, Rice University offers programs in areas like Accounting and Entrepreneurship. It's also located in Houston, one of the largest business markets in the US.

2) Texas A&M University's Mays Business School: Mays offers robust programs in areas such as finance and supply chain management. Better yet, they have strong connections to businesses in the area which can provide ample internship opportunities.

3) Baylor University's Hankamer School of Business: The Entrepreneurship program at Baylor gets high marks, and they also have unique offerings such as an emphasis on Sports Sponsorship & Sales.

4) The Naveen Jindal School of Management at the University of Texas at Dallas: Known for its Project Management program, Jindal offers both traditional business concentrations and unique ones like Healthcare Management.

5) The University of Houston's C. T. Bauer College of Business: UH's Bauer College of Business has a top-ranked Entrepreneurship program and its location in a big city provides plenty of opportunities for internships and networking.

6) Texas Tech University's Rawls College of Business: Rawls, located in Lubbock, offers unique concentrations in Energy Commerce and International Business.

Which schools interest you will largely depend on what kind of business concentration you're interested in. I'd also advise looking at specific opportunities and resources these schools offer for business students, such as career counseling, internship placement services, networking events, and professional development workshops. Even consider connecting with students or alumni from these business schools to get a better feel for the culture and their experiences.
