Are there easy scholarships that high school students can actually get?

Being a high school junior, I've started looking for scholarships to help fund my college education. I've come across many big-name scholarships, but some of them seem nearly impossible to win due to how competitive they are. Are there any scholarships out there that are considered 'easy' to obtain, where the criteria aren't as demanding? I'm looking for ones that don't require a super high GPA or exceptional extracurricular records, but instead focus on essays or other achievements. Any tips on where to find such opportunities would be appreciated!

Absolutely, there are many scholarships out there that focus on different criteria than just GPA or extracurricular activities. Some focus on creativity through essay writing or art, charitable work or involvement in your community. It's all about finding the ones that match your skills and interests.

For instance, the Create Real Impact Contest is open to students between 14-22-years-old. It invites students to submit creative entries on the theme of driving safety. The submission can take form of a video, music, creative writing, or artwork. It doesn’t require a high GPA or impressive extracurriculars - just creativity and a strong message.

The Courage to Grow Scholarship is another option. It awards $500 to a junior or senior in high school or a college student who have at least a 2.5 GPAs. It requires a short essay explaining why you should receive this scholarship, focusing on your academic and career goals.

Another 'easy' scholarship is the $2,000 "No Essay" College Scholarship by Appily. This scholarship picks a winner through a random drawing, and it’s open to all high school, college, and grad students. All you have to do is create an Appily account to enter.

Remember that every little bit counts. The more you apply to, the better your chances of earning money for college. Just keep in mind that when you are searching for these :easy” scholarships, be mindful of potential scams. Always check that it’s from a reliable source before sharing any personal information. Good luck with your scholarship search!
