Real Estate as a College Major - Is It a Thing?

Real estate sounds like a cool field to get into, but I'm not sure if it's an actual major. Do colleges offer a major in real estate, and if so, which ones would you recommend looking into for this kind of program?

Definitely, real estate is a legitimate field of study and several colleges offer it as a major! In fact, pursuing a degree in real estate can open up a variety of career paths from development to sales, and everything in-between. Institutions such as the University of Pennsylvania, with their Wharton School, and New York University's Stern School of Business are renowned for their programs. Also, the University of California at Berkeley and the University of Wisconsin-Madison have well-regarded real estate programs. These programs often cover a range of topics, including finance, development, property management, and urban planning.

For a comprehensive list of schools, it can be helpful to check out various college search databases, or any of the college ranking websites which may provide a specialized list for business and real estate programs. Once you've found programs of interest, I recommend looking into the specifics of their curriculum, faculty expertise, and any particular concentration or internship opportunities they offer to ensure it aligns with your career goals in real estate!
