Can anyone share a list of scholarships available for high school seniors?

I'm a high school junior gearing up to apply for colleges soon, and I'm trying to get a head start on looking for scholarships. I know there are tons out there, but it sometimes feels overwhelming to figure out where to begin. Does anyone have recommendations or a list of scholarships specifically for high school seniors that are worth checking out? I'd appreciate any guidance or personal experiences you've had with applying for these scholarships.

I understand finding scholarships can be a bit overwhelming, but it's a great thing you're starting your search now! Here are some scholarships that are specifically open to high school seniors:

1. Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation: This scholarship program rewards students not just for academics, but also for leadership and dedication to their community. It's quite competitive – there are only 150 Coca-Cola Scholars chosen each year – but recipients receive a $20,000 scholarship.

2. Regeneron Science Talent Search (STS): This is one of the oldest science and math research-based competitions for high school seniors. It awards $2,000 to each of the 300 scholars and their schools. The top 40 finalists compete in Washington D.C., where ten will be awarded scholarships ranging from $40,000 to $250,000.

3. Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Contest: Sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars organization, this scholarship asks high schoolers to create a three to five-minute audio essay on a patriotic theme. The first-place winner receives a $30,000 scholarship.

4. Gates Scholarship: This highly competitive scholarship was established by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It covers the full cost of attendance for students from low-income backgrounds who have shown strong leadership and academic success.

5. Burger King Scholars Program: This scholarship awards up to $50,000 to high school seniors with a solid academic record.

6. Elks National Foundation Most Valuable Student Competition: Ranging from $4,000 to $50,000, these scholarships are awarded to 500 high school students each year based on academics, leadership, and financial need.

Remember to meet all deadlines and fill out every part of the application to ensure the best chance of success. Start with these and make a schedule for when each application is due to help manage the process – and good luck!
