How much is the tuition at Parsons New York?

I'm considering applying to Parsons in New York for their design program. I've heard it's quite prestigious, but I'm worried about the cost. Does anyone know what their current tuition is or any tips for managing the expenses?

Sure, I'd be happy to provide some information on that.

The tuition at Parsons School of Design for the 2024-2025 academic year is approximately $57,900. Keep in mind, though, that tuition is just one part of the total costs. You'll also need to consider room and board, personal expenses, books and supplies, and transportation. When you add up all those costs, the total cost of attendance can be closer to $75,000 - $85,000 per year.

To manage these expenses, be sure to explore a variety of financial aid options. The first step would be filling out the FAFSA to see what kind of federal aid you might qualify for. Even if you think your family might not qualify for need-based aid, it's still a good idea to complete the FAFSA - you could be eligible for federal work-study or loans.

Parsons does offer several scholarships to incoming students, some of which are considerably generous, so it's worth investigating those as well. Look for external scholarships too. Some websites, like Appily, have databases of scholarships you can apply to.

Lastly, consider part-time work or work-study programs during the academic year and internships or jobs during the summer. It might make your schedule more hectic, but it can help cover some costs.

I'd recommend you get in touch with the financial aid office at Parsons. They would be able to provide further information on scholarships offered and additional ways to finance your education.
