Looking for info on University of Illinois scholarships

Does anyone have tips or experiences regarding scholarships at the University of Illinois? I'm hoping to attend there and any information on potential financial aid or merit-based scholarships would really help me out!

The University of Illinois offers multiple scholarships, many of which are awarded with a focus on academic achievements and need-based factors. If you're applying, you should fill out the FASFA and also check if there are additional applications or requirements for scholarships tied to your major or department--some colleges within the university have specific scholarships for their students.

One significant scholarship is the Illinois Commitment program, which covers tuition and fees for in-state students from families earning $67,100 or less yearly. Considering your income situation, you might be eligible.

If you are an out-of-state student, the university offers the Illinois Commitment for Non-Illinois Residents. This program covers tuition and fees for out-of-state students from families earning $67,100 or less. Similarly, for international students, there are numerous scholarships available through the International Student Scholarship program at the undergraduate level.

For merit-based scholarships, the President's Award Program (PAP) is one to consider. This program provides scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to select Illinois high school graduates.

For department-specific scholarships, each college within the school has its own offerings, so be sure to look at the department pages related to your intended major.

Remember to apply as early as possible since many scholarships are awarded on a first-come-first-serve basis. Good luck with your search, and I hope you find a scholarship that suits your financial needs and rewards your hard work!
