What majors are offered at the Naval Academy for undergraduates?

I'm considering applying to the Naval Academy and I'm curious about what undergraduate majors are available. I'm interested in STEM fields, but I'd like to know all the options to see if there's something that really clicks with me.

The United States Naval Academy offers a range of undergraduate majors in different fields, including options that could interest you as a prospective STEM student.

You'll find a variety of engineering disciplines, including Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, and Nuclear Engineering. These programs are pretty intensive due to the nature of the academy's focus on producing officers who have a significant understanding of technology and its applications.

In addition to the engineering degrees, the academy offers other STEM majors such as Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Oceanography, and Physics.

Apart from STEM, the Naval Academy offers majors in humanities and social sciences like Chinese, Economics, English, French, History, Political Science, and Spanish, among others. There are also intersections of STEM with other fields, like Operations Research (integrates math and strategic analysis) and Ocean Engineering.

Checking on the Naval Academy's website may provide more specific details and keep you updated on any new majors. But most of all, remember that while your major is important, your real goal at the Naval Academy would be to develop the leadership skills and tactical knowledge necessary for a career in the Navy or Marine Corps. It's that tough but rewarding journey that truly defines the Academy experience.
