HBCUs with PA Programs?

Does anybody know of HBCUs that offer Physician Assistant programs? I'm really focused on going into healthcare and would love to do it at an HBCU.

Hi there! It's great that you're interested in pursuing a Physician Assistant program at an HBCU. There are indeed a few HBCUs that offer such programs, and I'll be happy to share some examples with you.

One HBCU that has a renowned PA program is Howard University, located in Washington, D.C. The university offers a 28-month full-time program leading to a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. The program is known for its comprehensive coursework and hands-on clinical experiences.

Another institution is the Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia. Their program focuses on training students with support and mentorship from experienced PAs and physicians, providing a well-rounded learning experience.

Lastly, Florida A&M University offers a Master of Science in health administration with a concentration in Physician Assistant Practice. This program is designed to prepare students for leadership roles in healthcare.

I hope this information is helpful as you continue exploring your options in healthcare education. Don't forget to check out specific program requirements and pre-requisites as you narrow down your choices. Good luck!
