Are there military-friendly employers with job opportunities in Los Angeles?

I'm considering moving to Los Angeles after high school and would like to work for an organization that values military experience. What are some military-friendly employers in LA, and what types of jobs should I look for?

Absolutely, Los Angeles is home to many companies that warmly welcome veterans and those with military experience. A few top military-friendly employers to consider are Northrop Grumman, Boeing, & Lockheed Martin - all of these are large aerospace and defense companies that value the skills and training those with military background bring.

Northrop Grumman, for instance, has a variety of roles from IT and engineering to project management and logistics. They offer a Military Internship Program tailored specifically to individuals transitioning from military to civilian work.

Boeing, another defense industry leader, has a program called Boeing Veterans Make Us Better, aiming to support veterans and their families during their transition into the civilian workforce. They hire for a wide array of roles ranging from software engineers to financial analysts.

Lockheed Martin makes an effort to employ veterans at all levels of the company, with an extensive veteran hiring program. In addition, they offer resources and networks for veteran employees and have a variety of job opportunities.

Keep an eye out for opportunities that match the skills and experiences you gained in the military. For example, someone with military leadership experience may do well in project management roles. Those who worked in more technical areas of the military might find fit in engineering or IT roles. In addition, consider networking and attending job fairs intended for military veterans. These can be great opportunities to meet potential employers directly.
