Can anyone share info on Coast Guard Academy's course catalog?

I'm really curious about what courses are offered at the Coast Guard Academy. Does anyone have experience with their course catalog, or know where I can find detailed information on what courses are available?

The United States Coast Guard Academy offers a variety of programs across multiple disciplines. Their main majors include Government, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Marine and Environmental Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, Operations Research and Computer Analysis, Management and Cyber Systems.

Each of these disciplines features a range of specific courses corresponding to their field. For instance, if you were to major in Civil Engineering, you might take courses like Soil Mechanics, Structural Analysis or Environmental Engineering. Similarly, a major in Government could include American Government, International Relations, and Public Administration.

The Academy operates on a two-semester system: the Fall semester runs from August to December, and the Spring Semester from January to May. The curriculum is designed to be rigorous and hands-on, often with lab or field work incorporated alongside theoretical learning.

Schedules are generally quite packed due to the combination of academic, athletic and leadership training that are staples of the Academy's approach. Full course descriptions, requirements for all majors, and class schedules can be found directly on the US Coast Guard Academy's website, under their Academics section.

Remember that the Coast Guard Academy, like other service academies, has a mission to prepare students to serve as officers in the Coast Guard. Therefore, in addition to their major-specific coursework, all cadets will also take a core curriculum that includes classes in leadership, ethics, military history, and nautical science.

Keep in mind, available courses can vary from year to year depending on a variety of factors, including faculty availability and student interest, so it's a good idea to regularly check their website for the most current information.
