Is the Naval Academy summer camp accepting high school students?

I'm interested in applying for the Naval Academy summer camp, but I'm a high school student. Do they have specific programs for high schoolers, or should I apply to the general camp? Any advice would be appreciated!

The U.S. Naval Academy indeed offers summer programs specifically catered to high school students. Their Summer Seminar is a wonderful program for those in their junior year (so between 11th and 12th grade) wanting to get a taste of the challenges and benefits of Naval Academy life. The program is a quick-paced leadership experience, providing a taste of the rigorous academics and physical challenges of the plebe year.

The STEM Summer Program, focusing on science, engineering, and math, is a great choice for students entering grades 9 through 11 who want hands-on experience in their future field in a state-of-the-art environment.

It's also worth noting that the purpose of these summer camps is not just for you to learn more about the academy, but also for the academy to learn more about you – a strong performance at one of these camps might bear weight when it comes to your Naval Academy application.

In short, yes, you should definitely apply if you're interested, and select the program that aligns best with your grade level and interests. Best of luck, and enjoy the opportunity!
