What degree can I earn from the Naval Academy?

I'm thinking about applying to the Naval Academy and I'm curious about the types of degrees they offer. What majors or programs can a midshipman choose from during their time at the academy?

At the United States Naval Academy, you will receive a Bachelor of Science degree upon graduation regardless of your major. While the main focus is on the sciences and engineering due to its military nature, the academy offers 25 different majors that fall under three distinct academic divisions:

1. Engineering and Weapons Division: Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, General Engineering, Cyber Operations, Robotics and Control Engineering, Nuclear Engineering.

2. Mathematics and Science Division: Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, Oceanography, Information Technology, Operations Research.

3. Humanities and Social Sciences Division: English, History, Political Science, Economics, Arabic, Chinese, French, Spanish, International Relations.

The curriculum is designed to be broad and intensive, preparing midshipmen for the vast responsibilities that await them as commissioned officers in the United States Navy or Marine Corps. Regardless of their major, all students, or midshipmen, take courses in engineering, humanities, and the natural sciences. Graduates earn degrees in everything from English to nuclear engineering.
