Scholarship opportunities for black male college students?

As a black male preparing for college, I'm looking for scholarships that could help ease the financial burden. Does anyone know of scholarships specifically for black male students, or where I might find a list of these opportunities?

There are quite a few scholarships specifically for Black students to help support their educational journey:

1. The Ron Brown Scholar Program: This scholarship program is awarded to academically talented high school seniors who are Black/African American and demonstrate financial need. Ten to twenty students are selected each year to receive $40,000 total, which is paid out in installments over four years.

2. United Negro College Fund (UNCF): UNCF administers various scholarships for students, and, in many cases, you must attend a historically black college or university (HBCU) to qualify.

3. The Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF): This scholarship offers four-year grants of up to $30,000 to minority high school students showing leadership potential and demonstrating financial need.

4. 100 Black Men of America Future Leader Scholarship: Male senior students who participate in the 100 Black Men group’s mentoring and education programs are eligible, and the award amount varies.

5. Appily (formerly known as Cappex) is a fantastic resource that allows you to search for scholarships based on your demographic or personal qualities, which in your case would be Black male students.

Remember that you also qualify for many other scholarships that are not exclusive to your demographic. Consider looking for scholarships based on your intended major, interests, extracurriculars, and community service. Don't forget that colleges themselves offer scholarships based on merit which you might be eligible for as well. Best of luck in your search!
