Scholarships for Transfer Students at Boston College?

I'm considering transferring to Boston College and I need info on scholarships for transfer students. Are there many opportunities? How competitive are they? I'd appreciate any advice from those who've been through the process!

While there are not specific scholarships exclusively for transfer students at Boston College, transfer students are considered for University-funded scholarships when they apply. These include the Presidential Scholars Program, Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program, as well as need-based grants. It's important to fill out the FAFSA and the CSS Profile to be considered for these.

Bear in mind that these scholarships are quite competitive, especially the Presidential Scholars Program and Gabelli Presidential Scholars Program. They select students with strong academic records and important contributions to their communities, demonstrating leadership potential.

For need-based grants, your Student Aid Index (SAI) from your FAFSA will determine your eligibility. If transferring from a community college, you may want to look into Boston College's Community College Transfer Scholarships which are need-based awards to help make the transition more affordable.

You can also check out 'Appily' which allows you to input your information and find a list of scholarships that you may be eligible for. It's not BC specific, but it's a solid resource to check out.

Remember, while university-funded scholarships are a great resource, they aren't the only option. Look at local, state, and national organizations, foundations, and corporations that might offer scholarships relevant to your academics or extracurriculars!

Good luck with your transfer application! Investing time in scholarship research can provide a significant return, and every bit of financial support can make a difference.
