What are the options for California College of the Arts scholarships available for international students?

I'm thinking about applying to the California College of the Arts and I'm an international student. Does anyone know what scholarship options might be available to me? Any tips on applying would also be super helpful!

The California College of the Arts (CCA) offers a number of scholarships to students, including international students.

One of the key scholarships for international students at CCA is the CCA International Student Scholarship. This scholarship is a merit-based award that is given to international students based on the quality of their portfolio and academic achievements. The amount can be quite substantial, covering up to 100% of tuition, depending upon the student’s portfolio review by the CCA Admissions office.

Apart from the CCA International Student Scholarship, international students can also apply for the CCA President's Scholarship. This is a highly competitive scholarship awarded to incoming students who demonstrate exemplary skill and potential in their chosen field of study.

Another option is the CCA Diversity Scholarship. This is given to applicants from traditionally underrepresented ethnic and/or socioeconomic backgrounds. However, this scholarship is not limited to international students and is very competitive.

For applying, to maximize your chances of receiving a scholarship, I suggest you focus on creating an impressive portfolio and maintaining excellent academic records. Tailor your portfolio to the course you are applying for and make sure it highlights your skills and creativity effectively. If you're not sure how to prepare a strong portfolio, you might consider seeking advice from a teacher or mentor who is familiar with your work and can provide constructive feedback.

Regarding your academic records, try to maintain a high GPA and submit any standardized test scores that might contribute to your profile, if applicable and if the college accepts them. A combination of a strong academic background and an impressive portfolio can significantly increase your chances of securing a scholarship at CCA.
