Merit scholarships at Champlain College based on academics

I'm interested in Champlain College and was curious about their academic merit scholarships. Does anyone know how competitive they are and what GPA or scores I might need to qualify?

Champlain College does offer academic merit scholarships based on academic performance, and they don't require a separate application - you're automatically considered when you apply for admission. These scholarships can range from $13,000 to $32,000 per year.

While Champlain doesn't publish exact GPA or test score thresholds for these scholarships, they do state that the awards are based on a "holistic review" of your academic record. This likely means that in addition to your GPA and test scores, they're considering factors like your course rigor, the trend in your grades, the classes you've taken, your school profile, major, and more. But typically, high school students who earn these awards tend to have strong academic records.

Just keep in mind, these scholarships are competitive. Merit scholarships are a way for colleges like Champlain to attract top students, so receiving one is a recognition of your accomplishments both in and out of the classroom. To maximize your chances, you'll want to be sure that your academic record, extracurriculars, and other parts of your application are as strong as possible.

It's also important to note that even though Champlain is a test-optional school, your ACT or SAT scores (if you have them) can still play a role in the scholarship decision process. Especially if your scores are well above average, submitting them might enhance your eligibility for a higher scholarship tier.

There are also other Champlain scholarships worth checking out, including a visit scholarship just for spending the day at Champlain. Please don't hesitate if you have more questions about Champlain College or its scholarships!
