What scholarships are there for identical twins going to college?

I'm one half of an identical twin duo and curious if there are scholarships out there specifically for twins. Has anyone come across opportunities like this that could help reduce our college tuition costs?

There are indeed several scholarships specifically designed for twins, albeit they tend to be quite specific in their criteria. Some colleges offer a discount if both twins attend the same school.

For instance, Sterling College in Kansas has a Twin Discount Grant that halves tuition for each twin when both enroll simultaneously. Lake Erie College in Ohio also has a Twins Scholarship, which covers up to 50% of tuition when both twins are enrolled full-time. Wilson College in Pennsylvania also offers a benevolent fund known as the "Sibling Recognition Award" for family members attending at the same time, including twins.

There's also the Twins Day Festival Twin Scholarship, which is a scholarship awarded to twins who have participated in the Twins Day Festival in Twinsburg, Ohio. The award amount varies from year to year.

Another scholarship to look into is the Florence Adele Vanderbilt Scholarship, which is available to students from families of two or more children attending the Gallaudet University at the same time. Although it's not specifically for twins, it's based on the circumstance of having two or more siblings in college, which could work in your favor.

Lastly, the Twin/Triplet Dorm Room Waiver granted by Northeastern Oklahoma A&M college provides free dormitory expenses when both twins stay on campus.

Remember, finding these specific programs may take a bit of digging and reaching out to your prospective schools or local organizations may reveal other twins-specific opportunities. Alternatively, widen your search to scholarships for siblings/relatives enrolling at the same time – they might be more common but would serve the same financial relief.

Best of luck with your scholarship search!
