Which scholarships have the most money available?

I'm looking into scholarships with large financial awards to help cover college costs. Does anyone know which scholarships offer the biggest monetary amounts? I've heard there are some that might offer significant funding, and I want to target those.

Several highly-competitive, merit-based scholarships not only offer a full-ride to college, but also additional benefits such as stipends for books, research grants, study abroad experiences, and even graduate school funding. Here are some examples:

- The Gates Scholarship: Funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, this scholarship awards full tuition funding for four years, in addition to other discretionary costs like housing and books, to 300 high school seniors with Leadership Abilities, academic success, and financial need each year.

- Regeneron Science Talent Search: This is a science research competition for high school seniors, offering significant prizes - the top winner receives $250,000. The remaining nine of the top ten finalists receive amounts ranging from $40,000 to $175,000.

- Coca-Cola Scholars Program: 150 high school seniors receive $20,000 each year from the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, based on their leadership, service, and character.

- Davidson Fellows Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to students under the age of 18 who have made significant contributions in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, music, and philosophy. The amounts range from $10,000 to $50,000.

Please note that each of these scholarships has its own specific eligibility criteria, and competition can be quite stiff given the attractive award amounts. It's also important to note that you generally will not be able to combine a large scholarship like these with significant financial aid from a college - if you're receiving a full-ride scholarship, the college may not give you any additional financial aid. It would be wise to research each scholarship thoroughly to understand all terms and requirements. Good luck with your scholarship hunting!
