Can I get a college scholarship for playing cornhole?

I've heard cornhole has scholarships, which is wild! It's a fun sport, but are there real opportunities out there? If so, what are the requirements to qualify for one?

Definitely, there are scholarships available for cornhole! The American Cornhole League (ACL) provides college scholarships for high school students who are skilled in the sport. The ACL has a program called the "ACL Baggers" that offers both a Junior and College division for players under 21 years old.

To apply for a scholarship, you first need to be a member of the ACL. You can register online, which also gives you the opportunity to participate in local, regional, and national competitions. Each competition provides you with the chance to earn points towards your world ranking.

If you're a novice cornhole player, don't worry. Your proficiency in cornhole is not the only factor that is considered for scholarship eligibility. The ACL also takes into account your academic record, leadership skills, and community service as part of the selection process.

As with any scholarship, understand that the competition can be tough and the number of recipients can vary depending on available funding per year. Check out the ACL website and consider reaching out to them directly for the most accurate and updated information related to these scholarships. Good luck!
