I'm looking for scholarships that stand out from the typical academics and athletics. Any recommendations for unique scholarships that have interesting criteria or focus areas?

There are numerous scholarships out there with unique criteria. Here are some that may pique your interest:

1. Doodle for Google Scholarship: This is awarded every year to the student who comes up with the most creative design for Google's homepage logo. The contest is open to all U.S. students in grades K through 12.

2. Davidson Fellows Scholarship: This scholarship recognizes students who have completed significant projects that have the potential to benefit society in the areas of science, technology, engineering, mathematics, literature, philosophy, or music.

3. Stuck at Prom Scholarship Contest: This is given to the couple who creates the best prom attire made completely out of Duck Brand duct tape. It's quite a fun challenge for the crafty, artistic students out there.

4. Tall Clubs International Student Scholarship: This scholarship is awarded to high school seniors who meet height requirements – 5’10” for women and 6’2” for men.

5. United States Bowling Congress Scholarships: Not only for athletes in popular sports, there are also opportunities for an athlete in bowling. There are several scholarships offered by this organization for both males and females.

6. American Sheep Industry Association Scholarship: If you have an interest in animal agriculture, particularly the sheep and wool industry, you can apply for this scholarship.

Before applying, make sure to read the guidelines and confirm the deadlines. Each of these scholarships has unique requirements, and they all check for completely different sets of creative and critical skills in their applicants. Good luck with your applications!
