Which universities offer the most scholarships for international students in USA?

I'm an international student and want to study in the USA, but I'm worried about finances. Are there any universities known for providing lots of scholarships specifically for international students?

Sure! There are actually several universities in the US that are known for their substantial financial aid offerings to international students. In other words, these institutions are famous for their commitment to making a US education accessible for students from around the globe.

Harvard University is one such institution. They commit to meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students, domestic and international. Similarly, Yale University and Princeton University have need-blind admissions policies and meet 100% of demonstrated need for all admitted students.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) also has need-blind admissions and pledges to meet 100% of demonstrated need. This extends not just to US citizens or permanent residents, but all incoming undergraduate students, including international students.

Dartmouth College is another institution with a commitment to meeting 100% of demonstrated need, and it extends to international students as well. Although admissions to Dartmouth are need-aware for international students, the college takes a holistic approach and considers each individual student’s full range of abilities and circumstances.

In general, private universities in the US tend to offer more financial aid to international students than public universities. However, it's important to apply to a variety of schools and then compare the financial aid packages you receive. Also, remember to look into external scholarship opportunities; some scholarships are open to international students and can help offset the cost of college.

Remember that applying for financial aid and scholarships can be a complicated process and sometimes involves additional essays or interviews. So start the process early, and reach out to the schools' financial aid offices if you have any questions. Good luck!
