Does the Dell Scholarship give awards for community college?

Yes, the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation's Dell Scholars Program supports students attending an accredited higher learning institution which include four-year universities, community colleges, and vocational programs.

The intention of the scholarship is to mitigate "the financial burden that tuition, books, and living expenses have on a student's college career", so long as the chosen path leads to a bachelor’s degree. But it's not just about the financial support. Dell Scholars Program also provides key resources such as a laptop, Chegg credits (for textbook purchases/rentals and online tutoring), and a scholar resource network that connects students and families with resources to deal with stress, debt, managing childcare, and life circumstances.

Remember, to be eligible, you must participate in an approved college readiness program in grades 11 and 12, have a minimum GPA of 2.4, and have demonstrated financial need. It's a holistic process where they also want to understand your individual circumstances and your 'GPA.' They look at your determination, grit, potential, and ambition. For example, if you've had a job throughout high school, they view this as an indication of your work ethic.
