Which UCSD School Offers Most Scholarships?

I'm considering UCSD and wondering which school or department within it offers the most scholarships. Any international transfer students or current students have insights into where the most scholarship opportunities lie?

UCSD doesn't distribute scholarships based on the individual colleges or departments within it. Instead, scholarships are administrated on a university-wide basis. Many scholarships are need-based, while others are merit-based or take a combination of need and merit into account.

UCSD does offer scholarships for international students such as the Fulbright Program, which is for new first-year and transfer degree-seeking international students.

Department-specific scholarships may be available based on your major, but these would be independent of the college that you're in.

Apart from these, you're encouraged to look for externally funded scholarships. Depending on your home country, there may be scholarships specifically for students studying abroad in the U.S. Additionally, websites like Appily can be useful for searching for scholarships based on various criteria.

Remember, UC's financial aid programs are intended to ensure that UC remains affordable for all students regardless of economic background, and UCSD is no exception to this. So rest assured, the financial side of things is taken seriously and there are options available to help fund your education.
