What current scholarships are available for college students?

I'm trying to figure out what scholarships are currently available for someone already in college. Are there any resources or databases that update regularly with current scholarship opportunities?

Yes, there are numerous ongoing scholarships for college students. In terms of resources, you might want to check out Appily, which has a scholarship database. Fastweb and Scholarship.com also have extensive, regularly updated lists. Sometimes, foundations and professional organizations offer scholarships for members or affiliates. For example, the American Psychological Association (APA) offers numerous scholarships and grants each year for psychology students.

One such scholarship is the "Ongoing Annual Scholar Program" offered by AfterCollege. It provides students with multiple scholarships every quarter. This Scholarship is open to students studying the humanities, social sciences, and STEM fields alike.

The Udall Undergraduate Scholarship is another, specifically for individuals interested in pursuing careers related to the environment, as well as Native American students pursuing tribal public policy or healthcare.

The Boren Scholarship is aimed at students interested in learning less commonly taught languages and studying abroad. This scholarship program place emphasis on geographic areas and languages deemed critical to U.S. national security.

Remember, it can be worth reaching out to your financial aid office at your college, as they may have resources and knowledge about scholarships specific to your school or major. Scholarships are out there in abundance; the key is to be persistent, innovative, and thorough in your search. Happy hunting!
