Which schools give out the most scholarships overall?

I'm trying to create a list of potential colleges, and financial aid is a big factor for me. Do you guys know which schools are most generous when it comes to offering scholarships? Specific examples would be really helpful!

When it comes to scholarships, a few colleges stand out with their generosity:

- Vanderbilt University: At Vanderbilt, they have a few merit-based scholarships that don't depend on family financial circumstances. For example, they offer the Ingram Scholars Program, the Cornelius Vanderbilt Scholarship, and the Chancellor's Scholarship. They meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for all admitted students as well.

- Emory University: Emory offers merit-based scholarships as part of the Emory University Scholar Programs. They also boast a wide range of resources and scholarships for students demonstrating financial need.

- Duke University: Duke offers a few merit scholarships such as the A.B. Duke Scholars Program and the Robertson Scholars Leadership Program. They also meet 100% of demonstrated need.

- University of Southern California (USC): USC offers a large number of departmental scholarships, some of which are merit-based. Worth mentioning is the Trustee Scholarship, awarded to the top 1-2% of applicants, which covers full tuition.

Remember, these are just examples. There are many generous schools out there. It's also important to note that while these schools offer a substantial number of scholarships, they are also very competitive.

When assessing colleges, always use their net price calculator to get an estimate of what you would potentially pay at each institution. This will give you a broader and more personalized view of how much financial aid you might receive, rather than just focusing on scholarship offerings. Remember, a school with a high sticker price can sometimes end up being the most affordable option if they meet a large percentage of demonstrated need.
