Scholarships for community college students in California?

I'm currently attending a community college in California and could really use some financial aid. Does anyone know of scholarships specifically for community college students here? Any suggestions on where to start my search?

There are definitely scholarships out there for students in your exact position - attending a community college in California.

One is The California Community Foundation (CCF) scholarship program which provides awards to LA county students, including those in community colleges.

You may want to look into the California Dream Act as well, which is not a scholarship in and of itself but will allow eligible students to receive state and institutional financial aid.

The Osher Foundation Scholarship is another option. It's designed to benefit students who are enrolled in California community colleges. Also check out the PTK Scholarship if you're a Phi Theta Kappa member attending a California community college.

Appily is a good resource for searching for more scholarships. You can filter scholarships based on a variety of factors, including your current education level and residency status.

Remember, your school's financial aid office should also be able to provide resources and assistance to help you find scholarships. Get in contact with them to see what they suggest!

Remember, search for scholarships that align closely with your unique circumstances. The more specific the criteria, the fewer applicants there will likely be vying for the same award. Good luck with your search!
