Which Ivy League colleges offer the best scholarships for Nigerian students?

I'm an international student from Nigeria aiming for the Ivy Leagues. Do any of them offer particularly good scholarship opportunities for Nigerian students? It'd be great to know as I plan my applications.

Every Ivy League school offers some form of financial aid to international students, but the packages vary and will depend on your specific financial circumstances. However, there are a few Ivy League schools known for particularly generous financial aid policies:

1. Harvard University: Harvard is known for its robust financial aid program. If your family earns less than $65,000 a year, you are not expected to contribute to the cost of attendance. Beyond that, families only pay a small percentage of their income, and the financial aid package includes no loans. This applies to international students as well.

2. Yale University: Yale is another university that offers need-blind admission and full-need financial aid to all students, including international ones. Under Yale's policies, your family contribution is determined and is expected to stay constant regardless of whether sibling's join or graduate college, making it feasible for multiple students in the same family to attend at once.

3. Princeton University: Princeton has a generous financial aid policy, where families making less than $65,000 are not required to contribute to the cost of college, and families making between $65,000 and $180,000 typically pay a sliding scale of 0-10% of their income. Princeton’s financial aid packages contain no loans, only grants, to ensure that students graduate debt-free, which can be of significant benefit to international students.

While these are great places to start, remember to utilize each university's net price calculator to estimate the costs for you specifically. Financial aid packages can vary greatly depending on individual circumstances, so these tools can be extremely useful in obtaining a more accurate picture of what you might expect to pay at each institution.
