Advice on Ohio colleges with great scholarships?

I'm eyeing schools in Ohio and really hoping for some scholarship money to lighten the load. Do any schools there have a reputation for being particularly generous with scholarships? Any tips would be appreciated!

There are several schools in Ohio known for their robust scholarship programs.

The University of Cincinnati, for instance, offers several merit-based scholarships for incoming freshmen based on their academic performance. One notable scholarship is the Cincinnatus Scholarship, which awards from $3,000 per year to full tuition.

Ohio State University, another major public institution, is also known for a host of scholarships, including the Stamps Eminence Scholarship Program, which covers full tuition, fees, room and board, and provides an envelope for enrichment activities for selected students.

Case Western Reserve University, a top-tier private institution, offers merit scholarships that range from $15,000 to full tuition. For example, the University Scholarship offers full-tuition awards, while the Case Western Reserve University Scholarship can range from $15,000-$27,000.

Miami University of Ohio has several merit scholarships, including the Miami University Merit Scholarship, which can range from $1,000 to full tuition based on your academic performance and residency status.

Denison University, a top-tier liberal arts college, offers several merit-based scholarships, including the Denison Founders Awards ($25,000 per year) and the President’s Scholarship (full tuition).

Oberlin College, another top-tier liberal arts college, also offers merit scholarships that range from $10,000 to $20,000 per year.

Remember, the best way to increase your chances of earning these scholarships is to have a strong academic profile, demonstrate leadership potential, and show an engagement in extracurricular activities. Additionally, make sure to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be considered for need-based financial aid. Each of these universities also has their own financial aid application process, so be sure to check on their respective websites for the most accurate information. Good luck in your college and scholarship search!
