Where to look for college scholarships?

Can anyone suggest where a high school junior like me should begin searching for potential college scholarships? I've heard of a few sites but want to make sure I cover all options.

Sure, there are a number of resources at your disposal when it comes to searching for scholarships. First, you may want to start with your high school counselor or college advisor if you have one. They often have a list of local and regional scholarships that students from your school have won in the past.

Then, there are several online resources you can use in your search:

1. The U.S. Department of Labor’s free scholarship search tool: This is a database of over 8000 scholarships, fellowships, grants, and other financial aid award opportunities.

2. Appily: Formerly known as Cappex, Appily helps you find scholarships and learn about colleges. They have a wealth of information to help you in your journey.

3. Fastweb: This is one of the oldest and most well-known scholarship search platforms. It offers thousands of scholarships, along with college search tools and expert advice sections.

4. Chegg Scholarships: Along with textbook services, Chegg also has a scholarship search tool, out of which thousands are Chegg-specific scholarships.

Please remember though, when applying for scholarships, you need to be aware of potential scams. You should never have to pay money to apply for a scholarship. Always research the organization offering the scholarship to make sure it is legitimate.

Lastly, don't forget about the potential for financial aid directly from your prospective colleges. After you've compiled a list of colleges you're interested in, check out their websites or reach out to their financial aid offices to see what scholarships they offer that you may qualify for. You might be surprised at what is available!

Good luck with your search!
