What's a good PSAT score range for a freshman?

I'm a freshman and just took the PSAT. I'm not sure how to feel about my scores. What would be a good score range for someone in their freshman year?

It's completely normal for freshmen to wonder about their PSAT scores! Remember that PSAT scores range from 320 to 1520, and as a freshman, your scores will most likely improve over time. For a 9th-grader, a score of 1000 or higher is a good starting point and indicates that you're on track. Keep in mind that the national average for all PSAT test-takers (including sophomores and juniors) is around 920-940.

However, it's more important to focus on areas of improvement and understanding where you did well and where you can grow. Use your score report to identify any sections that need extra attention, and work on developing your skills in those areas. Each year you take the test, your scores will likely increase as you gain more experience and knowledge. Keep working hard, and don't stress too much about your initial PSAT score as a freshman. Good luck on your future tests!
