College Scholarships for Children Adopted from China?

I was adopted from China, and I'm curious if there are any specific scholarships for students like me. If anyone has experience with this, I'd love to hear about the scholarships you found or applied to.

There are indeed scholarships specifically designated for adopted children and specifically for those adopted from China.

One example is the scholarship offered by the Children of All Nations (CAN). CAN offers an Adoptee Scholarship each year. It's open exclusively to students who were adopted internationally by U.S. parents, which would certainly apply to you.

Additionally, you should look into the Holt International Children’s Services. Holt offers multiple scholarships each year to adoptees, and they have a history of placing children from China.

There's also the scholarship offered by Adopteen, known as the Adopteen Scholarship Program. It's specifically for students who were adopted from China.

Finally, don’t forget to check out scholarships geared towards Asian-American students or first-generation American students. While these aren't specifically for children who were adopted, your unique story could help you stand out in the scholarship application process.

Remember, scholarships can be highly competitive, so apply to as many as are relevant to you, and spend time crafting your application responses to highlight your unique experiences and perspectives. Good luck with your search!
