Scholarships for enrolled nontraditional students?

I'm an enrolled nontraditional student and I'm on the lookout for scholarships that cater to people like me. Does anyone know of any organizations or programs that offer such scholarships?

Absolutely, there are many scholarships available specifically for non-traditional students who are already enrolled in college. Here are a few examples:

1. Patsy Takemoto Mink Education Foundation: They offer awards to low-income women, especially mothers, who are pursuing education or training.

2. Jeannette Rankin Women's Scholarship Fund: This scholarship is tailored for women age 35 and over who are pursuing an undergraduate education.

3. Alpha Sigma Lambda Scholarships: These scholarships are designed for non-traditional students earning a degree outside of typical college age. You need to be in a program of study at an Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter school, though.

4. Executive Women International (EWI) Scholarships: EWI provides Adult Students in Scholastic Transition (ASIST) scholarships to adult students at transitional points in their lives.

5. American Legion Auxiliary Non-Traditional Student Scholarship: If you're a member of the American Legion, Auxiliary, or Sons of The American Legion, you may be eligible for their scholarship.

It's also worth looking at institutional scholarships at your college; often they'll have awards specifically for nontraditional students. Contacting the financial aid office is always a good first step, they can guide you through the process and let you know about any specific opportunities you may be eligible for at your school.

Remember, scholarships can have different requirements and not all of them are merit-based. Some revolve around financial need, personal experiences, community service accolades, particular fields of study, and more. Also, always verify the scholarship deadlines and ensure you provide all the required documentation in your application.

Finally, I'd recommend looking at websites like Appily and Fastweb. They allow you to filter scholarships by a variety of criteria, including for non-traditional students. Good luck with your search!
