Scholarships for Kids of Immigrant Parents?

I'm a junior whose parents immigrated here, and I'm searching for any scholarships available for students in the same situation. Any suggestions for where to look or specific scholarships I should apply to?

Absolutely, there are numerous scholarships available to help students born to immigrant parents fund their education. I encourage you to look into these:

1. The "Dream.US National Scholarship" offers financial aid to "Dreamers" who came to the United States before November 1, 2015.

2. The "Ascend Educational Fund awards scholarships to immigrant students and children of immigrants who are graduating from a New York City high school".

In regards to finding more scholarships, there are a few things you can do.

1. Use Scholarship Search Tools: Platforms like College Board's Scholarship Search, Appily, and Going Merry allow you to set various filters to find scholarships that you may be eligible for, including those specifically intended for children of immigrants.

2. Check with Local Organizations: Many community, religious, or cultural organizations offer scholarships. If your parents are associated with any such groups, it may be worth reaching out to them for information.

3. Talk to Your School Counselor: School counselors often have information about local or regional scholarships that may not be readily available online.

Remember, every bit of funding helps when it comes to your college education. Best of luck in your search!
