How to get a scholarship for junior and senior years of college?

I'm currently a high school junior and thinking ahead about college costs. Are there specific scholarships that I should be aware of that cover junior and senior years, or are they generally for all four years?

There are a variety of scholarships available that specifically target upperclassmen in college, which could help cover the costs of your junior and senior years. These scholarships tend to be provided by private organizations, professional associations, and even some colleges themselves.

A few, for instance, include the "Get Up! Get Active!" scholarship, which rewards students who are active in their community or school, and the "AfterCollege Succurro Scholarship" which is open to students in any degree field. Another organization, the "Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology", offers scholarships to students in their junior or senior year pursuing a degree in biology or a related field.

On top of these, it's not uncommon for scholarships to be renewable, meaning that you can reapply after your initial award. These scholarships can indeed cover the cost of tuition for all four years of college, given that certain criteria are met, such as the maintaining of a specific GPA.

Remember to check the specific eligibility requirements of each scholarship, as they can vary widely. Be aware of deadlines and required materials as well. It's also worth noting that some colleges offer their own scholarships for continuing students, so you should look into those opportunities at your college once you enroll. Most universities have a financial aid office that can provide further information.

While you are still in high school, use scholarship search platforms to find scholarships you are eligible for throughout your college journey. This is a helpful way to finance your education and minimize student loans. Remember, scholarships are not limited to your first year of college, many are available for all years of your college career.
