Geology student scholarships – any advice on where to look?

I'm really into geology and thinking about majoring in it at college. Are there any specific scholarships out there for geology students?

Yes, absolutely! There are various scholarships out there for students intending to pursue a geology major.

One such scholarship is the GEO Scholarship from the Geological Society of America (GSA), which awards funds to geology students who exhibit high academic achievement and the potential to give notable contributions to the field.

The Barry Goldwater Scholarship is another notable one. It's a very prestigious award for students planning careers in math, science, and engineering fields. While you don't have to be a geology major to apply, geology students can certainly benefit from it.

AIPG (American Institute of Professional Geologists) Foundation also has a program for undergraduate and graduate study scholarships that you might want to consider.

Your state or local geological society may also offer scholarships, so it's worth checking these out too.

Finally, I'd also recommend checking Appily as they have a robust scholarship database that caters to a multitude of fields and interests. Best of luck with your scholarship search!
