Looking for Scholarships at Berklee College of Music

I'm super interested in attending Berklee College of Music but worried about the costs. Can anyone share advice on scholarships available there? Are there specific ones for music students, or ones based on auditions or merit?

Absolutely, many colleges, including Berklee College of Music, offer a range of scholarships to prospective students. These scholarships help lighten the financial load and can be based on various factors, such as strong academics, talent in a particular area, or even financial need.

To start, Berklee College of Music does offer a variety of scholarships specific to prospective students. One such program is the Berklee City Music College Scholarship, which is available for students from the Berklee City Music Network’s 46 partner sites across the U.S. and Canada.

Furthermore, Berklee's Presidential Scholarship covers the full tuition and other fees, and it's awarded to a select group of students every year based on their audition and interview with Berklee. They also have The Berklee Online Celebrities Scholarship which also provides a full scholarship for an online degree program based on talents and potential for successful in the music business.

Students can also apply for The Berklee American Roots Music Program. This scholarship is awarded to studious and talented musicians enrolled in American Roots Music Program. The recipients can use the grant for their tuition, room, and board.

Lastly, entering students are all considered for merit-based scholarships during the application process. No additional application is necessary for these. They are awarded based on your audition, academic achievements, and overall application.

Remember that you should also complete your FAFSA as well to ensure that you're eligible for any need-based scholarships or grants. Most importantly, make it a habit to research and apply for as many external scholarships as you can. Every bit helps to defray the cost of college. Good luck with your search.
