Are there specific scholarships for ADHD college students?

I'm a high school junior with ADHD planning on attending college next year. Are there any scholarships specifically for college students with ADHD? If so, what are some good ones to apply for?

Absolutely, there are numerous scholarships available specifically for students with ADHD. One noteworthy option is the Learning Disabilities Association (LDA) of Iowa Scholarship, which provides annual funding to students from Iowa who are enrolled in a post-secondary program and have been diagnosed with ADHD.

Another excellent option is the Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship, awarded by the National Center for Learning Disabilities (NCLD). This scholarship is specifically designed for high school seniors with learning disorders or ADHD who will enroll in a two-year community college, technical or specialized program.

Also, note that the Anne Ford Scholarship, another award from the NCLD, provides funding for four-year college students with documented learning disabilities or ADHD.

Additionally, Scholarship Owl organizes a monthly scholarship contest for students with ADHD, and Rise Scholarship Foundation also offer scholarships for students with learning disabilities, including those with ADHD.

Keep in mind though, that each scholarship has its own set of eligibility criteria, such as GPA requirements, proof of diagnosis, and sometimes, demonstrated financial need. Be sure to read the fine print and apply for those you're eligible for to maximize your chances of winning.

Remember too that these scholarships are not exhaustive. You can find scholarship opportunities specific to ADHD students on scholarship search platforms. Keep in mind that you are also eligible for general scholarships as well, so don't limit your search only to scholarships specifically for ADHD students. Good luck with your applications!
